Medical Marijuana Program Evaluations and Certifications

Certified Support for Connecticut’s Medical Marijuana Program

The Connecticut Medical Marijuana Program allows qualifying residents to access medical marijuana through state-registered dispensaries and hybrid retailers. Our practice provides clinical evaluations and certifications in accordance with state law, delivered through in-person appointments or secure telehealth when medically appropriate. We also offer guidance on the certification process and education focused on safe and responsible use.

Understanding Connecticut’s Medical Marijuana Program

The Medical Marijuana Program helps qualified residents safely access medical marijuana. Patients certified by a licensed provider must register with the state before purchasing medical marijuana. Once registered, qualifying patients may access a wider variety of products, additional purchasing amounts, and tax-free status at dispensaries and hybrid retailers. There is no fee for patient or caregiver registration with the Department of Consumer Protection. (ref. CT.gov)

Who May Qualify

To be eligible for a medical marijuana certificate in Connecticut, you must:

Note: If a condition is not currently listed but you believe it may qualify, the state allows petitions to add new conditions after review by the Board of Physicians.

Residency, Age & Other Requirements

To qualify under Connecticut law:

You must be a Connecticut resident. CT.gov
You must have a qualifying condition diagnosed by a state-licensed clinician. CT.gov
You must be 18 years of age or older to register independently. For minors under 18, separate dual certification requirements apply under state rules. CT.gov
You cannot be an inmate confined under the Connecticut Department of Corrections.
